The River Café has been, and still is, the most exclusive fine dining American restaurant on the water in New York City. Located in one of the city's most noteworthy and romantic settings, our glass pavilion sits riverside under the Brooklyn Bridge — exuding romance with breathtaking Manhattan skyline views, gorgeous atmosphere, and classic American cuisine.
The romantic mood is enhanced by wonderful flower arrangements, live piano music, and seamless service — creating the perfect setting for the countless engagements that take place here. Our elegant dining room, serious dress code, and Michelin-starred menu have delighted local clientele and visitors from around the world for more than 40 years.

Chef Brad Steelman's menu proudly complements the changing seasons, featuring a refined classic American repertoire — from warm lemon-glazed oysters and hand-shaved black truffle agnolotti, to char-grilled Niman Ranch strip steak and poached Nova Scotia lobster thermidor.
The fixed-price dinner is $205 per person, with a caviar service and Madeira dessert flight for those who wish to linger.
Our intimate cocktail bar is nestled under the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan skyline glittering across the water. For 41 years, pianist Dom Salvador has played jazz standards here each evening — a dreamlike oasis apart from the bustling city.
